KDOT has started a project to modernize East Kellogg from K-96 to 159th Street in Wichita and Andover, continuing the Kellogg Road improvements east. The project will reduce congestion, increase safety, improve trip reliability and support economic growth within the region. The modernization of East Kellogg is part of Kansas’ IKE Program—a 10-year, $10 billion program focused on preserving, modernizing and expanding Kansas’ transportation system.

KDOT finalized the environmental documentation and received approval from the Federal Highway Administration for the project to move forward into final design and construction. Final design work is underway and the goal is to begin construction in summer 2025.
